Dr. Mark C. Brigham
grew up in Silver
Spring,
Maryland. He received
his undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Maryland and, in 1981,
graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary
Medicine. After practicing in Raleigh,
Mark came to GVH in 1983. He continues to maintain a strong focus
on internal medicine and surgery for household pets. He is past
president of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association
where he provided a veterinarian's perspective to the State
Legislature's deliberations on an Animal Protection Act. Away
from the office, Mark loves to spend time with his wife, Kathy, and
their children, Josh and Kim. Mark, an Eagle Scout, just retired
from being Scoutmaster for Josh's troop. They all enjoy fresh
water fishing. Mark's "four legged" children include 2 very happy dogs named Ella and Smooch, an Australian Shepherd named Maverick, and a rabbit, Boo-Boo.
